“I’ll just try to understand them and I ask for their unity,” Gorayeb said after their Friday practice at Blue Eagle Gym in Ateneo.

Fans have hit the choice 12-woman lineup, and even the pool, the Philippines will send for the Southeast Asian Games.

Gorayeb added he would grant the fans’ wishes, “50 players are not enough to make the national team.”

Friday’s practice was also the first time the 12 players were all present.
“We were complete for the first time,” Gorayeb said. “I wish no one goes missing in Singapore.”
