Tai Bundit wants national volleyball team to be kept intact beyond SEA Games

SINGAPORE — Tai Bundit wants the national women's volleyball team to be kept intact after the 28th Southeast Asian Games, saying the squad can beat 'every team' in the region with longer training.
Speaking ahead of the Philippines' crucial preliminary match against favorite Vietnam on Saturday, the popular Thai coach expressed belief the team can beat anyone if they stay together for a longer period of time.
“I tell Philippine team happy, you can play everywhere,” said Bundit in halting English.
Bundit is credited for Ateneo's rise as a two-time champion in the UAAP and has been tapped as trainer for the national team, getting the chance to work with other volleyball stars like Rachel Anne Daquis, Jaja Santiago, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, and Aby Maraño.
From what he sees in the team, Bundit said the team can perform a lot better if they will spend more time training under him and national head coach Roger Gorayeb.
“They can play in the near future (if) they know my system. I want to continue this team. They can beat every team,” said the Thai coach.
