Netball at the 2015 SEA Games

Netball is played by 2 teams of 7 players and played predominantly by women. Each team scores by shooting the ball into its team’s goal ring, which are raised and placed at each end of a rectangular court.
Positions are assigned to the players which define their roles in the team. It also restricts their movement to certain areas in the court. Players are not allowed to travel with the ball, and they are only allowed to hold the ball for no more than 3 seconds. Only the Goal Attack (GA) and Goal Shooter (GS) may score goals.
A netball game is 60 minutes long, divided into 4 quarters of 15 minutes each. There shall be an interval of 3 minutes between the first and second, as well as third and fourth quarter. The half-time, allocated between the second and third quarter, is 5 minutes long.
The Women’s Team event is the only netball event contested at the 28th SEA Games.
