Athletics at the 2015 SEA Games








Athletics is the sport of competing in track and field events, including running races and various competitions in jumping and throwing. The simplicity of the competitions and the lack of expensive equipments needed make athletics one of the most commonly competed sports in the world.
All track events are time-based events, in which the fastest athlete/team is the winner. All field events are distance-based events, where the athlete/team that achieves the greatest horizontal or vertical distance is the winner.
A total of 46 athletics events will be held during the 28th SEA Games. All events shall consist of men’s and women’s competitions, except for 100m Hurdles, 110m Hurdles, Heptathlon and Decathlon:
